According to available information, the disabled youth was sitting on platform number-1 when an argument broke out between him and a shopkeeper present at the spot over an unspecified issue. The dispute escalated rapidly, leading the shopkeeper to launch an attack on the youth using a plastic pipe. Due to his disability, the victim was neither able to speak properly nor escape from the scene. The video depicts the youth desperately rolling on the ground in an attempt to save himself, yet the attackers showed no signs of stopping their assault.
Within moments, approximately half a dozen more people arrived
at the scene and joined in the assault, collectively beating the youth. In a desperate attempt to defend himself, the victim is seen trying to grab and bite the hands and legs of his attackers, but his efforts proved unsuccessful. Shockingly, during the incident, a GRP police personnel also arrived at the scene; however, instead of rescuing the victim, the officer allegedly assisted in grabbing him and taking him out of the platform. Even after this intervention, the assault continued as one youth was seen dragging the disabled individual on the ground while continuing to beat him.
The viral video has caused chaos to erupt at Deoria Sadar Railway Station, where local residents have strongly condemned the incident and demanded strict action against the accused. At present, the railway police and administration have stated that the matter is under investigation. This horrific display of violence against a vulnerable individual has left the community reeling, placing significant pressure on authorities to ensure justice is served and to address the security failures at the station.
